so convenient,, any size water or soda bottle , plastic ones, work so well , you put a little hole on each side for the hanger and where the bottle cap is, you screw on the feeder, hand upside down in a tree and the birds love it.. I use the larger water bottles from the dollar store, not the huge ones, although they may work as well,,, but so convenient and this is the second time I have purchased these,, bears took my other ones,,, so now I just hang it on a higher branch.... holds enough for a lot of bird for a few day. they love it and I love watching them enjoy the seed,, this is so convenient and easy to use. the hook for the branch and the seed part at the bottom are strong.. they last a long time, probably forever.
